Data source changed from the Dartmouth Atlas of Healthcare to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Mapping Medicare Disparities tool. Data have been updated through report year 2017. Trends over time now available beginning with year 2012. Indicator breakouts by race and ethnicity are now available.
Using the most current U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics release, unemployment rate data and maps have been updated to July 2020.

New 5-year mortality rates for 2014-2018 are now available for the “deaths of despair” indicator (replacing data for 2012-2016). This indicator reports the rate of deaths for suicide, drug overdose, and alcoholic liver diseases.
