Data for the 2024 Area Deprivation Index (ADI) are now available! The ADI is a ranking of neighborhoods by socioeconomic status disadvantage in a region of interest (e.g. at the state or national level). It includes factors for the theoretical domains of income, education, employment, and housing quality. It can be used to inform health delivery and policy, especially for the most disadvantaged neighborhood groups.

This indicator reports the number and percentage of students identified as English Learners (EL). Detailed information, including grade level, race and Hispanic origin, and spoken language detail is also available.

An updated indicator shows drug overdose mortality using the latest CDC WONDER data. Reported as five-year average rates per 100,000 population, the data highlight ongoing variation in overdose deaths across communities and provide an updated view of one of the leading causes of injury death in the United States.
