An error was identified in which total population figures for service areas and regions in California were reported as an aggregate over the three-year data collection period (2010-2012) rather than as a point-in-time figure. Population figures have been updated to represent the total 2010 census population. Mortality rates, both crude and adjusted, were unaffected by this issue. Affected indicators:
American Community Survey data for the 2012-16 five-year period has been processed and released! These updates replace previous indicator data from the 2011-2015 five-year period. Data from previous years is accessible via saved “static” reports, or by searching the Community Commons Map Room.
New maps and data now available for 4 indicators from the 2014 US Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns (replacing data for 2013). Annual data depicting trends over time is now available for counties, states, and the US for 2009 through 2014. Affected indicators:

Analysis was implemented to generate tract-level estimates of access to SNAP-authorized retailers. Counts of SNAP Retailers are current as of December 2017. Population estimates are from the US 2010 Decennial Census. Maps are now available at the 2010 census tract level.
New 5-year average cancer incidence rates for 2009-2013 are now available (replacing data for 2008-2012). Breakouts are available by race and ethnicity. Affected indicators:

Clinical Care
We identified an error in the original source data affecting report areas including Washington, DC. In the original source data, when reported as a county level value, the chlamydia incidence rate for Washingtonm, DC is recorded as 0.30. When reported at the state level, the value for Washingtonm, DC is recorded as 814.3. The platform now uses the state-level values for all areas including Washington, DC.
Indicators displaying the percentage of population with low food access and population living in food deserts have been updated. The updated data were released in January 2017 and reflect conditions on the ground in 2015, replacing previous indicator data reflecting conditions 2010.
