Data from the 2008-2012 5-Year estimates is available at the state, county, and census tract geographic levels.
Children in Poverty
Layer displays information about children in poverty from the American Community Survey (ACS). Data from the 2008-2012 5-Year estimates is available at the state, county, ZCTA, and census tract geographic levels. New maps and data for the total population in poverty and the population age 65+ in poverty are also now available.
Population with No High School Diploma
Layer displays information about the population with no high school diploma from the American Community Survey (ACS). Data from the 2008-2012 5-Year estimates is available at the state, county, ZCTA, PUMA and census tract geographic levels. Residential Address Vacancies
Layer displays information about the residential address vacancies reported by the United States Postal Service and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Data is from the 3rd quarter of 2013 (June – September) and is available at the census tract geographic level. A map of business address vacancies is also available.
Tax Returns Claiming Earned Income Tax Credits
This layer displays information about tax credits and tax deductions claimed by tax filers. Information is available for all ZIP codes where 10 or more total tax returns were filed. Eligible tax payers may receive between $1 and over $5,000 in Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC).
Total SNAP Benefits and Benefits per Capita
Layer displays estimates total Food Stamp/SNAP benefits (in USD) issued to US counties. Additional layer views include average benefit dollars per capita and average benefit dollars per SNAP participant.
Access to Primary Care Providers
This layer displays the estimated number of all primary care physicians within 10, 25, or 50 miles of each census tract. Primary care physicians are those MDs or DOs specializing in family practice, general practice, pediatric medicine, or internal medicine. Physician directory and location data are from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Physician and Other Supplier 2012 Public Use File (PUF), which was released in April 2014, and from the 2013 CMS Physician Compare National Downloadable File. Additional data analysis was performed by CARES.
Business Vacancies by Census Tract
This layer displays business vacancy rates and total business vacancies in census tracts across the United States. Data is for the 4th quarter of 2013 and was released in March 2014.
