American Community Survey data for the 2012-16 five-year period has been processed and released! These updates replace previous indicator data from the 2011-2015 five-year period. Data from previous years is accessible via saved “static” reports, or by searching the Community Commons Map Room.
New data on the availability of providers that specialize in addiction or substance abuse treatment have been added to the reporting platform. Addiction or substance abuse providers include MDs, DOs, and other credentialed professionals specializing in substance abuse treatment, rehabilitation, addiction medicine, or providing methadone. Reporting elements include the total number and rate of providers in the reporting area, as well as a list of individual providers and their contact information.
Data have been updated to the most recent time period (2019). Data are obtained from the the 2020 County Health Rankings, released on March 23, 2020. Affected Indicators:
New data on violent crimes are available for the 2015-17 three-year period (replacing data for 2012-14). Violent crime includes murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault while property crimes include burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. Crime totals and rates are multi-year estimates for the three year period 2015-2017. County-level UCR files are based on agency records in a file obtained from the FBI that also provides aggregated county totals. NACJD inputs missing data and then aggregates the data to the county-level. Multi-year estimates are calculated by CARES.
