Report Indicator

One new indicator has been added to the CHNA platform from the 2011-2012 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System. Indicator reports the proportion of the adult population (age 18+) who self-report that they have been diagnosed with high cholesterol. New Indicators:

New state-level estimates were acquired from the 2011-2012 National Survey of Children’s Health (replacing estimates from 2007). State and national indicator data is available by race / ethnicity. Data is only available for service areas outside of California. Affected indicators:

New 7-year estimates for 2006-2012 acquired from the CDC National Vital Statistics System (replacing estimates for 2006-2011). Indicator data now available broken out by race/ethnicity; trends over time now available for time periods 2002-2008 through 2006-2012. Affected indicators:

New estimates for the 2014-2015 school year were acquired from the California Department of Education (replacing estimates from the 2013-14 school year). Additionally, data breakouts by student race / ethnicity have been added to the report indicators. >

New maps and data for SNAP-authorized retailer access rates are now available. New estimates are based on May 2016 SNAP retailer locations, replacing previous data from May 2015. Affected Indicators:

Updated description states that the indicator measures utilization among children aged 2-11. The previous description incorrectly stated that the indicator measured children age 2-13.
