The new access to mental health providers data for the year of 2023 are now available (replacing data for 2022). Data were from the 2023 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) National Provider Identifier (NPI) downloadable file and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. Rate of mental health care providers per 100,000 population are reported for US counties and states over the report period.

The access to dentists data for the year of 2022 are now available. Data were from the 2022 Area Health Resources Files (AHRF) and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. The rate of dentists per 100,000 population are reported for US states and counties (data are suppressed for counties with population greater than 4,000 and 0 dentists over the report period).

The new seven-year average birth weight data for 2017-2023 are now available. Data were from the National Center for Health Statistics – Natality files and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. Percentage of live births with low birthweight (< 2,500 grams) are reported for US states and counties with 10 or more low birthweight births over the report period.

The new seven-year average infant mortality data for 2016-2022 are now available. Data were from the National Center for Health Statistics – Mortality files and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. The seven-year average number of infant deaths per 1,000 live birth are reported for US states and counties with >= 20 teen births over the report period.

The access to exercise opportunities data for the year of 2022 are now available. Data were from the 2024, 2022&2020 ArcGIS Business Analyst and Living Atlas of the World; YMCA; US Census TIGER/Line Shapefiles and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. The percentage of individuals in a county who live reasonably close to a location for physical activity are reported for US counties and states over the report period.

The childcare centers data for the year of 2010-2022 are now available. Data were from the 2010-2022 Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD) and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. The rate of childcare centers per 1,000 population under 5 years old are reported for US counties and states over the report period.

The childcare cost burden data for the year of 2024&2023 are now available. Data were from the 2024&2023 Living Wage Calculator and Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. The childcare costs for a household with two children as a percent of median household income are reported for US counties and states over the report period.

The gender pay gap data for the year of 2019-2023 are now available. Data were from the 2019-2023 American Community Survey and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. The ratio of women’s median earnings to men’s median earnings for all full-time, year-round workers are reported for US counties and states over the report period.

The school funding adequacy data for the year of 2022 are now available. Data were from the 2022 School Finance Indicators Database and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. The average gap in dollars between actual and required spending per pupil among public school districts are reported for US counties and states over the report period.

The new seven-year average teen birth data for 2017-2023 are now available. Data were from the National Center for Health Statistics – Natality files and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. The seven-year average number of births per 1,000 female population age 15-19 are reported for US states and counties with >= 10 teen births over the report period.
