This layer displays the rate of change for total business establishments between 2018 and 2019 in counties across the United States. Establishment counts are acquired from the 2019 Business Dynamics Survey (BDS), released by the US Census Bureau. Rates are calculated per 100 ‘initial year’ business establishments.

This layer displays per capita personal income by county. This measure of income is calculated as the total personal income of the residents of an area divided by the population of the area.
