As part of the 2025 data release, all county-level estimates have been updated using the CDC’s latest methods, and historical data have been recalculated back to 2004 to ensure consistent comparisons across years.

Data from the latest BRFSS PLACES dataset have been added to the platform! The PLACES dataset provide prevalence estimates representing the year 2023 for population health behaviors and conditions. These map layers display consumer expenditures per household by county from the ESRI 2024 consumer spending data survey. Data is available as average spent (dollar amount spent on a product or service divided by total number of households in an area) and as a percentage of total household spending (amount spent per household on a product or service divided by the total household spending in an area). Food-related expenditures include those for: Child Care; Day Care, Nursery, and Preschool; Health Care; Housing; Transportation; Utilities, Fuel, and Public Service.
