Net Change in Number of Establishments, 2019-2020
Map layers from the 2020 Business Dynamics Statistics database are now available! This Census Bureau dataset contains information on establishment and employment changes between 2019 and 2020. The linked map layer displays the rate of change for total business establishments between 2019 and 2020 in counties across the United States. Rates are calculated per 100 ‘initial year’ business establishments.
Area Deprivation Index by Census Block Group
The 2020 Area Deprivation Index is now available! The ADI map displays rankings of neighborhoods by socioeconomic status disadvantage in a region of interest (e.g. at the state or national level). It includes factors for the theoretical domains of income, education, employment, and housing quality. It can be used to inform health delivery and policy, especially for the most disadvantaged neighborhood groups. The 2020 ADI was constructed using the 2016-2020 5-year estimates from the US Census’ American Community Survey.

This updated dataset reports the total number of days in which an extreme heat event was above 100 degrees between 2019-2021 at the county level. Data were obtained from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Environmental Public Health Tracking Network (EPHTN).
Median Household Income, 2021
This layer displays the total number and percentage of children in poverty (in households with income or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level). Data are from the latest US Census Bureau Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE) dataset and are available at the county, state, and school-district level.
Maximum Temperature – Average Days Above 98th Percentile
This updated dataset reports the total number of days in which an extreme heat event was above 98th percentile between 2019-2021 at the county level. Data were obtained from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Environmental Public Health Tracking Network (EPHTN).
Social Vulnerability Index, 2020
The Social Vulnerability Index map displays the final Social Vulnerability Index Score and the four theme scores (Socioeconomic, Household Composition, Minority Status, and Housing & Transportation) of each county/census tract ranked against all counties/tracts in the United States. County and tract level data are acquired from the CDC/ATSDR Social Vulnerability Index, 2020.
