Expenditures on Child Care and other Household Expenses, 2024

These map layers display consumer expenditures per household by county from the ESRI 2024 consumer spending data survey. Data is available as average spent (dollar amount spent on a product or service divided by total number of households in an area) and as a percentage of total household spending (amount spent per household on a product or service divided by the total household spending in an area). Food-related expenditures include those for: Child Care; Day Care, Nursery, and Preschool; Health Care; Housing; Transportation; Utilities, Fuel, and Public Service.

Data is from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) Common Core of Data (CCD) School District Finance Survey for fiscal year 2010. County-level data was generated by CARES by aggregating school-district level records with valid reported figures for total students and total expenditures.
