Locations of Primary Care Physicians

This layer displays the locations of all primary care physicians who accept Medicare. Primary care physicians are those MDs or DOs specializing in family practice, general practice, pediatric medicine, or internal medicine. Data are from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Physician and Other Supplier 2012 Public Use File (PUF), which was released in April 2014, and from the 2013 CMS Physician Compare National Downloadable File.

Layer displays information about the incidence of chlamydia among the US population in 2012. The data are from the Sexually Transmitted Diseases Surveillance System (STDSS), released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in January 2014.

Uninsured Population by County

Layer displays information about the insurance status of the population age 0-64. The data are from the 2012 Small Area Health Insurance Estimates, released by the US Census Bureau in March 2014.

Medicare Beneficiaries Treated for High Blood Pressure

Layer displays data about Medicare beneficiaries treated for high blood pressure in 2012. Data is from 2012 Medicare claims files compiled by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Children Overweight or Obese by BMI

Data layer displays information about student performance on Body Composition component of the FitnessGram® physical fitness test. Body Composition is assessed using student Body Mass Index (BMI). Data is available for select states (CA, GA, NY, TX, WV), and displays the percentage and total number of students who are overweight or obese (not in the Healthy Fitness Zone).

FEMA Designated Disaster Shelters

Layer displays data from the FEMA National Shelter System database. The FEMA NSS database is synchronized every morning with the American Red Cross shelter database. Data about shelters in Illinois are unavailable.

Labor Force Changes

Layer displays information about the changes in numbers of people counted as being a part of the labor force as defined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Data is shown for labor force changes between 1, 3, 5, and 10 year intervals from both the current month and the annual 2012 numbers.
