Outstanding National Resource Waters

This feature class contains Missouri’s Outstanding National Resource Waters listed in Table D of the Water Quality Standards rule as published in the Code of State Regulations on May 31, 2012. Water quality standards are not enforceable by state law until after the Order of Rulemaking becomes effective and approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
The primary purpose is to locate congressionally designated waters for Water Quality Standards as described in 10 CSR 20-7.031(1)(Q) and Table D using the United States Geological Survey (USGS) 1:24,000 National Hydrography Dataset (NHD).

Outstanding Resource Waters – Marshes

This feature class contains Missouri’s Outstanding State Resource Waters – Marshes listed in Table E of the Water Quality Standards rule as published in the Code of State Regulations on May 31, 2012. Water quality standards are not enforceable by state law until after the Order of Rulemaking becomes effective and approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
The primary purpose is to locate marshes designated as outstanding by the Clean Water Commission for Water Quality Standards as described in 10 CSR 20-7.031(1)(R) and Table E using the United States Geological Survey (USGS) 1:24,000 National Hydrography Dataset (NHD).

Aquatic Invertebrate Monitoring Sites

This data set contains locations of samples on streams that were collected for aquatic invertebrate analysis. This data set was developed to provide historical information regarding the locations of aquatic invertebrate sampling events in Missouri and adjacent states. This data is collected and maintained by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Environmental Quality, Envirionmental Services Program, Water Quality Monitoring Section (WQM).

This data was collected from the Missouri Spatial Data Information Service (MSDIS).

Missouri Department of Natural Resources Land Boundaries

This dataset was developed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. This data set depicts the boundaries of parks and historic sites managed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks. These data are derived from abstract descriptions, surveys, deeds, and sketches varying in age, content and quality. March 2019 Update

303d Streams

This data set contains Missouri’s 2016 Section 303(d) Listed Waters – Rivers and Streams and is a list of certain impaired waters in the State of Missouri. The list is a requirement of the Federal Clean Water Act and is developed biennially by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The list contains the names of impaired waters, their unique identification number and identification of specific pollutants and pollutant sources if they are known. This list has been modified by a state-wide public participation process and by review of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Waters on the final EPA list must be the subject of a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) study that stipulated the allowable amount of specific pollutants allowed in these waters. All waters are listed for their full size as given in 10 CSR 20-7.031 Water Quality Standards, Tables H.Section 303(d) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act requires states to list impaired waters for which adequate water pollution control requirements have not been put in place and for which a TMDL study has not been completed.The metadata content associated with this data set was reviewed by Barb Ruppel on 20150127.
