The 2023 map layers on all small business loans and lending to businesses with revenues under $1 million—by both loan amount and number—are now available. Data are sourced from the 2023 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Aggregate Files published by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC). These layers include information on total loan amounts, percentages, and the number of loans.

Population in Poverty, Disparity Index Score
Layer displays information about racial disparity of poverty using data from the 2010-2014 American Community Survey (ACS). The Index of Disparity (ID) is used to show the magnitude of variation in indicator percentages across population groups. In this case, the index measures the difference in the percentage of populations of different racial and ethnic groups living below the poverty level.

This layer displays the rate per 100,000 population and the total count of banks and commercial lending institutions for each county in 2020.
