The mean was calculated excluding those records where the distance traveled was over 125 miles one-way. Additional data layers are available which show the proportion of commuters with a short (< 5 miles), moderate (5 – 25 miles), long (25 – 75 miles), or very long (75 – 125 miles) commute.
